#1 Haunted Attraction in Delaware for 2017 | Screams at the Beach

(GEORGETOWN) The award-winning haunted attraction Screams at the Beach has done it again, earning national acclaim as the #1 Haunt in Delaware for 2017.

The seventh year of Screams at the Beach kicks off with a #2 spot on HauntRater’s “Scariest Haunt in America” list, a national poll that retrieved over 3,600 votes for Georgetown’s own haunted attraction. Second only to the celebrity favorite Frightworld in New York, results of the annual HauntRater poll place Screams at the top of Delaware’s best horror destinations. How does it feel to be rated First in the First State? According to Screams visionary and producer Brian Turner, it is incredibly rewarding. “Whenever we win an award, it just makes me so proud of the team I have put together. Because with them, I can put the scariest ideas into motion...and without them, nothing is really possible.” With another award secured, Screams at the Beach will continue to gear up for 10 Nights of Terror. The gates of All Hallows Town will be open to victims on September 29 + 30, as well as every Friday and Saturday night in October.

*RATED FIRST IN TERROR

With 9 new & returning attractions for 2017, Screams will debut 2 mini Escape Room experiences (SK2 serial killer kitchen & Dissection underground industrial site) as well as the brand-new Prison of the Plague featured attraction...as brand-new as an old forgotten jailhouse can be, that is. Victims who attended Summer Fever in July will recall the Plague Doctor character (now infected with the ghastly illness) who will roam the prison corridors in search of healthy prey. Meanwhile, the Escape Rooms at Screams (inspired by widespread phobias like blood and tight spaces) will challenge victims to face their greatest fears on a time limit. All 5 featured Screams attractions will also return for Year SE7EN, while 2016 addition Zombie Paintball is back and bigger than ever. The original Haunted House experience, insane asylum, cemetery cathedral, strobe maze and terror trail hayride are just a few of the horrors in store.

*RATED FIRST IN VALUE

The full Year SE7EN experience is estimated to take at least 2 hours to complete, depending on dates and attendance. For the same great price as previous years, all 2017 tickets will grant victims access to the new Prison attraction and begin at $30, with additional options like Escape Rooms, Zombie Paintball, and the V.I.V. Fast Pass available. Victim attendance is expected to break last year’s records, with numbers reaching into the thousands, so tickets are provided online as well as at the door. GET TICKETS NOW >>

*RATED FIRST. PERIOD.

The HauntRater poll isn’t the only national critic to give Screams at the Beach acclaim. Previous awards include placement in Top 5 Best Haunts in America for 2012-2017 and raves from Haunt Review Crew, Baltimore Haunt Crew, and more. If you aren’t convinced, the only thing left to do is see for yourself...and there’s no better time to do it than Year SE7EN at Screams.
