What Do You Do About The A**hole In Your Life?

There are difficult people in every facet of your life. Whether it’s someone you love, someone at work, or even an acquaintance, odds are you know an a**hole – or, you are one!

In her book “So People Say You’re an Asshole: A Book for You, People Who Love You, & People Who Work with You” (www.assholestore.com) Sarah Brabbs breaks down how to better deal with the a**hole in your life and how to (and why you should) stop being one if you are the a**hole. Sarah says, “If you’re the a**hole, you have to humble yourself to have a better life. The first step in not being an a**hole is to realize you can be one, believe that it’s very beneficial not to be one, and then take action. Start by being observant of and respectful towards others. You need to put yourself in the backseat, and make room for others to impact and influence you.”

A**holes are in found in every facet of your life including personal and work relationships. For instance, when employees work with someone that is an a**hole, this results in higher turnover, lower morale, more lawsuits, and negatively impacts the company’s bottom line. For relationships and change inside of them, it’s about letting go, apologizing, and being open to change – all of which results in less conflict and more regard for one another, and most important, less a**hole behavior.
