- Private group -

Event has passed

Day 1:
Travel to Virginia to enjoy a visit and guided tour of Monticello, Thomas Jefferson’s estate. After our visit we will travel to Mount Airy, North Carolina, and enjoy a show and dinner at the Barn Theatre, America’s Longest Running Dinner Theatre.

Day 2:
Enjoy Breakfast and get ready for a day filled with “Mayberry.” (Mount Airy is the birthplace of actor Andy Griffith.) Arrive at the Mount Airy visitor’s center where we will meet our step on guide for a narrated sightseeing tour of “Mayberry” that will include granite buildings, the Old Mayberry Jail, Floyd’s City Barber Shop, the Andy Griffith Playhouse, Andy’s Home Place, a drive through the world’s largest open-faced granite quarry and a visit to The Gertrude Smith House. A visit to Mount Airy would not be complete without lunch at Snappy Lunch, Mount Airy’s oldest eating establishment. After lunch we will explore the Main Oak Emporium, a place to find everything you need from arts and crafts to accessories and collectibles. We will travel to the Wohlfahrt Hause Dinner Theatre for a delicious dinner and performance.

Day 3:
Enjoy breakfast, then depart for New Market, Virginia, for lunch at Southern Kitchen, one of New Market’s oldest eateries. After lunch, visit the American Celebration on Parade, where you can explore the fantasy land of floats and props which have been used in Presidential Inaugurals and well-known parades, such as the Rose Bowl Parade and the Macy’s Thanksgiving Parade.
