Coastal Delaware's Tax-Free Shopping Options Featured on Presidents' Day Weekend

February 12, 2018

It's no secret that one of the most enticing reasons for living and/or working in southern Delaware is taking advantage of the region's fantastic tax-free shopping options throughout the year.

While this is a 365-day-a-year benefit to those of us living in the coastal region, there are certain times of the year when this especially takes center stage.

Christmas, of course, Independence Day and even special events like Valentine's Day and Mother's Day come to mind. But one of the biggest of the year, by far, is the upcoming Presidents' Day Holiday Weekend.

One of the hubs of shopping activity in coastal Delaware is obviously the Tanger Outlets on Route 1 in Rehoboth Beach. And this Presidents' Day Weekend, the outlets are featuring a four-day sale from Feb. 16-19.

Now, there's no way we could possibly preview all of the stores under the Tanger umbrella that are participating in this event, and to what extent. But click on the link below to learn what your favorite store is offering in the way of holiday sales.

While the outlets may be "ground zero" for the holiday shopping extravaganza, there's much more to coastal Delaware when it comes to finding that special item at a can't beat price.

Specialty shops all the way up and down the coast will be open for business during the three-day Presidents' Day Weekend, most rolling out the welcome mat in the form of once-a-year price events.

To learn more about your area's favorite shopping options, we invite you to visit any or all of our local chambers of commerce. The links for their online personas are provided below, so you can develop a game plan before heading out for the weekend.
