Comedy Night Features “Hometown Boys”

March 14, 2017

Twins Robbie and Paul – or is it Paul and Robbie – Rescigno will take the stage at the Milford Senior Center on Saturday, May 20 to benefit the Auxiliary of Milford Memorial Hospital. The fundraiser, billed as Evening with the Rescignos, is a dinner theater starting at 5 p.m. Tickets are $50 per person, plus the cash bar.

The Rescignos are a professional comedy duo who perform regularly in New York City comedy clubs. Their parents, Pat and Rob, are still Milford residents. Now 32, the twins grew up in Milford and started their career in May 2006 on stage with Second Street Players in “The Mouse Who Didn’t Believe in Santa Claus.”

“They are hometown boys made good,” said Pat Crabb, who is co-chairing the event with Pat Fisher.

Their banter, in fact, often includes anecdotes from their childhood, highlighting the fact that people often wondered which twin was Robbie and which Paul was.

“Paul and I spend about an hour making fun of each other and sing some comedic songs. Mostly original songs, and a few song parodies,” said Robbie. He also notes that this show is not their first time raising money for the hospital.

“When we were 9, we sold Pepsi at a booth at the Hospital Fair. So we've got some experience here. Kidding aside, Pat Crabb reached out to us and we said yes,” Robbie added.

In conjunction with the event, there is a raffle on two items: a week stay at a Fenwick Island beach home and a 4-digit black license plate. Winners need not be present to win. To purchase raffle tickets, call Jacque Sipple at 302-422-9616.

Proceeds will be used to support the Auxiliary’s commitment to patient care and services. For tickets, call Pat Fisher at 302-422-7032 or Pat Crabb at 302-242-9490
