Food Drive at Blooming Boutique for Cape High Food Bank

February 1, 2017

Story Location:
107 Second Street
Lewes, DE 19958
United States

GFWC-Zwaanendael Women's Club of Lewes is kicking off their Annual February Food Drive on February 1st in downtown Lewes.  The donated food will be taken to the Cape Henlopen High School Food Pantry to feed the hungry in our local area with particular emphasis on the high school students and their families.  Cape Henlopen High School Interventionist, Mr. Otis Blackburn serves as a liaison between the Women's Club and the high school and says, "Our food pantry always runs low after the holidays and we so appreciate the Zwaanendael Women's Club's efforts to restock the pantry for us."  Last year the Zwaanendael Women's Club collected 355 pounds of food for the pantry.

Micha Seto will once again have collection boxes in Blooming Boutique, Treasure's and Lewes Gifts on 2nd Street and Blooming Boutique Accessories on Savannah Road in Lewes throughout the month of February.  The Blooming Boutique in Rehoboth Beach will also have a collection box for the month of February.  Micha is offering double Loyalty Points on purchases in all her participating stores when a patron comes in and donates food for the Cape Henlopen High School Food Pantry.

It’s a great time to stop into Blooming Boutique who is hosting an “indoor sidewalk sale” with great specials on clothing and shoes from 25-50% off!  Help eliminate hunger and save on your Blooming Boutique favorites. Giving back has never been so fabulous!
