Free Fish 'n' Kids Event in Lewes Canalfront Park May 7

Bring the kids to a morning of old-fashioned fun at the 6^th annual “Fish 'n Kids” on Sunday, May 7^th. The event takes place from 10 a.m. to noon in beautiful Lewes Canalfront Park, 211 Front Street in Historic Lewes. This year's event  will be celebrated as the first to take place at  the newly completed floating docks and kayak launch on the banks of the  Lewes-Rehoboth Canal. There will be numerous activities for children from 3-12 to participate in. Popular and fun activities include the kids making and using their own fishing poles, just like Tom Sawyer, and making their own fish-embossed T-shirts.  There will be free T-shirts to the first 50 kids (or bring your own for correct sizing). There will be many water-related games and contests, surf-fishing/net-casting instruction and demonstrations by members of DelawareSurfFishing.com, and kayak/stand-up paddle demonstrations by sponsor Quest Adventures.  This event is free, thanks to the support of Quest Adventures and Friends of Lewes Canalfront Park.
