FREE CINEMA BY THE CANAL SHOWING “FINDING NEMO” SUNDAY JULY 31

Bring your blanket or lawn chair and maybe a picnic for a free Thursday movie in Lewes Canalfront Park on Sunday, July 31.  The Cinema by the Canal series continues with the classic family film, "Finding Nemo”.  Rated G, “Finding Nemo” follows an adventurous young clownfish who is unexpectedly taken from his Great Barrier Reef home to a dentist's office aquarium. It's up to his worrisome father Marlin and his friendly but forgetful regal blue tang fish Dory to bring Nemo home -- meeting vegetarian sharks, surfer dude turtles, hypnotic jellyfish, hungry seagulls, and more along the way.  “Finding Nemo” is the precursor to this summer's hit film, “Finding Dory” and won an Academy Award for Best Animated Feature Film. The movie will begin at dusk and is free thanks to the support of Citizens Bank and Friends of Lewes Canalfront Park.  The park is located at 211 Front Street in Historic Lewes on the banks of the beautiful Lewes-Rehoboth Canal.

Mark your calendar for the other family-friendly movies showing in the park this summer on Thursday evenings:  “Dirty Dancing” on August 11 and “Back to the Future” on August 25.  On alternating Thursday's,  free Concerts by the Canal will be presented, featuring  Nate Myers & The Aces on August 4 and Mike Hines and The Look on August 18.
