The Indoor Academy at Sports At The Beach in Georgetown, Delaware continues to celebrate the Season with more holiday related events. Coming on the heels of the tremendously successful Toys For Tots Pickleball Tournament, “The Indoor” is continuing the fun with all new Holiday Pickleball Social Play Sessions. These special sessions, which begin on Saturday, December 23 and continue with varying dates and times until the first of the new year, are in addition to the popular Social Play Sessions already on The Indoor’s schedule. In addition to Social Play, The Indoor Academy continues to offer classes and clinics designed to help players improve their game. Drills & Skills sessions allow players to work on weak spots, improve dinking, volleying, serving, groundstroke technique, and player strategy. Practice & Play Sessions offer different topics from week to week and help players learn tactics for better gameplay, serving techniques, and why “the 3rd shot” is so important. Plus, all Practice & Play sessions include social play time so players can test out techniques they just learned before joining the standard Social Play Sessions. Periodic theme changes and new classes, such as Reducing Unforced Errors, keep the clinics fresh and pertinent. Introduction to Pickleball classes and courses are also available for beginners. Located at Sports At The Beach in Georgetown, Delaware, The Indoor Academy is a year-round destination for sports and sporting related activities. This 8,400 square foot heated facility contains four pickleball courts and hosts pickleball classes, clinics, and social play sessions, as well as periodic tournaments. Court rentals and private instruction are also part of the offerings at the Indoor Academy.
