Freeman Stage Organizers Announce 2018 Schedule

March 15, 2018

For the last couple of decades, coastal Delaware has definitely become more culturally diverse - a large Hispanic population, a very active gay and lesbian community and an influx of residents from other states are perfect examples.

And due to the growing nature of the area, a multitude of new locally owned restaurants have also popped up, along with a great selection of fun local festivals and quality entertainment options.

And it's the latter that we're going to focus on today, specifically the hugely popular Freeman Stage at Bayside, located just a short drive west of Fenwick Island.

The folks at the Carl M. Freeman Companies released their 2018 schedule just a few days ago and the upcoming season promises to be yet another in a string of fantastic entertainment choices for coastal Delaware residents and visitors.

Now, there's no way we could possibly preview all of the acts coming this year to the Freeman Stage - visit their website for that.

But what we are going to do is hit on some of the highlights of the 2018 calendar. And there are certainly some great acts coming to the region over the next few months.

So, let's take a look at what are sure to be five of the biggest events of the season...

Smokey Robinson (June 1). This Friday evening event promises to be the first big concert of the 2018 summer season, with the legendary singer/songwriter coming to town for one show only.

The co-founder of Motown Records has had many hits over his long career, including "My Girl," "Who's Loving You" and "The Way You Do The Things You Do."

Tickets for this early season show range between $55 and $115 and go on sale at 10 a.m. on Monday, March 26.

Jeff Foxworthy (July 7). The long-time comedian will be in town for one show only, on the evening of Saturday, July 7.

Foxworthy is the largest selling comedy recording artist in history and has won multiple Grammy Awards over his long career, but he is most well-known for his series of redneck jokes that became popular in the 1990s and 2000s.

Tickets to see Jeff Foxworthy range between $50 and $100 and go on sale at 10 a.m. on Monday, March 26.
