December 15, 2017

Nanticoke Health Services is pleased to announce that Keena Rollins, RRT, has been named Employee of the Month for December 2017.

Keena started her career at Nanticoke Health Services in May 2011 as a Clinical Support Technician in the Emergency Department. In December 2011, she was hired as a full-time EMT and worked in that field until graduating from Delaware Technical Community College’s Respiratory Care program in 2015. She then returned to Nanticoke to pursue a career as a Respiratory Therapist.

Keena has received many compliments for her patient care from both staff and physicians. She is a role model with a magnetic personality and strives to go above and beyond in her work to ensure each patient has a positive experience during their stay. She is currently working to become an Adult Critical Care Specialist through the American Association of Respiratory Care.

As a Seaford native, Keena is active both within the organization and the community. At Nanticoke, she volunteers on the Falls Committee and participates in several community events. She is also an active member of the Blades Volunteer Fire Department and has previously served as their Ambulance Captain. This year, Keena received the Sussex County Phoenix Award, which recognizes individuals who survived a near-death cardiac event as well as the personnel who helped save them. When not saving lives and giving back to the community, Keena enjoys visiting her family (especially her two nephews) and spending time at the barn with horses.

Nanticoke appreciates all of Keena’s hard work and dedication. Please join us in congratulating her as the Employee of the Month for December 2017!
