Some production and series home builders offer to build their package homes in custom home communities as well as on parcels located in the town limits of Lewes and Rehoboth. While this may seem like a quick, easy, inexpensive option; it is a decision that like many quick decisions, may lead to a negative outcome in the long run. Building production style or series homes in custom home neighborhoods defeats the purpose of living in a custom home community, and some would argue, may negatively impact property values in the neighborhood.

There are several production home communities in the area that offer many amenities. There is a healthy market for this product and for these communities.
