LISA KERSHAW NAMED NANTICOKE’S JANUARY NURSE OF THE MONTH

January 22, 2018

Nanticoke Health Services is pleased to announce that Lisa Kershaw, RN, BSN, has been named Nurse of the Month for January 2018.

Lisa began her career at Nanticoke Health Services in February 1994 as a RN in what was then called the Fox Wing. Lisa has remained on the same unit through its many transformations and a location change when the tower was built. The unit is currently known as the Progressive Care Unit (PCU), where Lisa serves as Charge Nurse. She cultivates a culture of openness in information sharing and maintains an inclusive work environment. Lisa uses her years of experience to lead staff and patients with a gentle, steady hand and motivates so many through her actions.

Lisa is well-like and respected by her peers, evident by multiple nominations from staff praising her work on the unit and throughout the organization. Examples include: “Lisa constantly generates an atmosphere of positivity, showing concern for everyone she encounters” and “Lisa takes note of employee’s interests and often brings small mementos or treats she thinks they will like.”

Lisa and her husband, Henry, currently live in Seaford, but also maintain a residence in Vermont. When she’s not dedicating her time to her patients and peers, Lisa is an avid gardener, cook, and home maker. Lisa has a heart of gold and everyone is thankful to have her as part of the Nanticoke family.

Nanticoke appreciates all of Lisa’s hard work and dedication. Please join us in congratulating her as Nurse of the Month for January 2018!
