December 22, 2017

Priscilla Snell, a student at Sussex Central High School, was assigned a class project. She knew she wanted to help kids and realized this was her opportunity to do just that. Priscilla is involved in the Young People’s Division (YPD) at Dickerson Chapel AME Church in Millsboro and called upon the parishioners to help make her goal of helping kids come to fruition. With Priscilla at the helm, the group collected and wrapped presents for children. Last year they brought one box of toys and Priscilla said her goal for 2017 was to collect 3 boxes of toys.

On Thursday, December 21, Priscilla arrived with 3 boxes full of toys to present to pediatric patients at Nanticoke Memorial Hospital. Donated toys help make every child’s visit to Nanticoke a bit more comforting. For many children, especially those who are too young to understand why they have to stay in the hospital, receiving a toy provides both comfort and distraction from their illness.

Nanticoke would like to thank Priscilla and her family for their dedication to Nanticoke’s mission to positively impact our community’s quality of life through superior health service. To learn how you can help make a difference, visit
