NANTICOKE HEALTH SERVICES CELEBRATES NATIONAL VOLUNTEER WEEK

April 20, 2017

Nanticoke Health Services joins communities across the nation in celebrating National Volunteer Week from April 23 to April 29, 2017. Nanticoke will show its appreciation to the hundreds of volunteers who spread hope and cheer to the patients, visitors, and staff at Nanticoke each and every day.

Volunteers can be found throughout Nanticoke Memorial Hospital, Nanticoke Health Pavilion Seaford, and at various Nanticoke events. From the Board Room all the way up to the fifth floor, NHS volunteers give of their time and talents. During 2016 alone, Nanticoke’s dedicated volunteers gave over 36,200 hours of service!

“The individuals that volunteer in clinical, supportive, and administrative areas are genuinely dedicated to Nanticoke,” said Kelly Novak, Program Coordinator of Nanticoke Volunteer Services. “They give countless hours to serving our community each year, helping keep our community healthy, vibrant and strong. I am extremely proud to be part of this STAR team!”

The highlight of Volunteer Week will be the annual Volunteer Appreciation and Recognition Banquet, held on Thursday, April 27 at 5:00pm at the Heritage Shores Club in Bridgeville. During this event, many of Nanticoke’s “Shining Star” volunteers will be recognized for their dedication and commitment.
