Nanticoke Health Services’ mission is to positively impact our community’s quality of life through superior health service – this includes giving back to local nonprofit organizations like Sussex Community Crisis Housing Services, Inc. (SCCHS) in Georgetown, Delaware.

On Wednesday, August 16, Nanticoke’s Medical Staff presented over 150 blankets to SCCHS. SCCHS provides safe temporary housing to the homeless while facilitating independence, housing stability and financial security. Donations of any kind are greatly appreciated. Items they are looking for include:

  • Towels and wash clothes
  • Twin bed sheets, blankets and pillows
  • Toiletries and personal items for men, women and children
  • Cleaning supplies and laundry soap
  • Paper towels, toilet paper and facial tissues
  • Kitchen supplies, cookware, utensils, bowls, storage containers
  • Coffee, tea, sugar and powdered drink mix
  • Office and school supplies

"It is our responsibility as physicians and community leaders to give back to the disadvantaged,” said Dr. Joseph Kim of the Nanticoke Physician Network. “Even the smallest of donations can provide a profound impact to people who need assistance."
