The free Concerts by the Canal series kicks off its sixth season with the popular, crowd-pleasing Nate Myers & The Aces . The band returns to Lewes Canalfront Park by popular demand on Thursday July 6 for a 7:00 pm performance. The park is located at 211 Front Street in Historic Lewes. This event is free and made possible through support of Friends of Lewes Canalfront Park and Dogfish Head Craft Brewery. Returning for their fourth performance, Nate Myers & The Aces plays energetic roots, funk and blues originals as well as covers, always with a focus on engaging and entertaining their audience.  Led by vocalist Nate Myers and his harmonica, the band has shared the stage with national artists including Kansas, Kenny Wayne Shepherd, Johnny Winter, Edgar Winter, Rick Derringer, and Cheap Trick. The band creates a loose, casual atmosphere in which everyone can enjoy a beautiful summer evening on the banks of the Lewes-Rehoboth Canal. Whether the audience prefers to sit back and listen or get up and dance, there is something for everyone.  Bring your blanket or lawn chair, and maybe a picnic supper for a fun, free Concert by the Canal this summer. Other concerts this summer are Mike Hines and the Look on July 20, The Plate Scrapers on August 3 and The Clifford Keith Band on August 31
