October 11 Pain Linx Meeting to Feature Talk on Chinese medicine, cupping, and herbs

October 5, 2016

The community is invited to a free talk at the October 11 Pain Linx Support Group meeting. Lauren Mund, LAc, will be discussing Chinese medicine for chronic pain, including acupuncture, cupping, and herbs.

Cupping was recently in the news during the Summer Olympics when athletes, including swimmer Michael Phelps, revealed they were using this technique to increase circulation and ease sore muscles.

Mund is an acupuncturist with Quakertown Wellness in Lewes. Originally from New York, Mund began practicing acupuncture there in 2009 after graduating from the Academy for Five Element Acupuncture in Gainesville, Florida. She is a licensed acupuncturist (L Ac) in Delaware and New York and is a Diplomate of Oriental Medicine, certified by the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM).

Pain Linx is a free support group for people living with chronic pain that meets on the second Tuesday of each month at the Lewes Public Library, 111 Adams Ave., Lewes, from 2 to 3 p.m. It is sponsored by Beebe's Integrative Health Department and facilitated by Rita Williams, Health Coach.
