ABOUT SARAH ANSBOURY
Here is Sarah's story, in her own words (as written on her personal website: a stellar resource for pickleball articles & training notes!)
"For the past twelve years I have been living and teaching tennis professionally in the Portland Oregon area. As a member of the USPTA I've benefitted from continuing education on fitness, racket sport body mechanics, instructional methods and sports psychology. I applied this education as a private tennis instructor, teaching club members and elite junior athletes, and as a NCAA women's tennis coach. I also competed nationally at the Open level as well as 5.5 rated leagues in the USTA. I found pickleball in 2014 and was instantly hooked. I entered my first national pickleball tournaments in 2015 and earned Gold and Silver at the September 2015 Tournament of Champions. In November, I medaled four times at the USAPA National Tournament including winning Gold in the Women's Doubles Open with a great friend and partner, Gigi LeMaster. As a member of the IPTPA I now travel the country working with recreational and advanced players to improve their all-around game technically, mentally, strategically and through improved fitness. I truly believe that every player has a way they can improve, whether that be by little or big strides." (source)
