Learn to play tennis or work on skills by joining Wicomico County Recreation & Parks for the next session of Teen/Adult United States Tennis Association-sponsored Tennis Lessons.
The program will help male and female players ages 13 and up develop tennis fundamentals through a fun play-to-learn style. Lessons will be held at a new location: WinterPlace Park.
Learn the Game is for new/novice players and Play the Game is for intermediate players.
Learn the Game and Play the Game classes will be held Tuesdays from Aug. 1-Sept. 5, and another option for Learn the Game participants is Saturday classes from Aug. 5-Sept. 23 (no class Aug. 19 and Sept. 2).
Tuesday times are 6-7 p.m. for Learn the Game and 7-8 p.m. for Play the Game. The Saturday Learn the Game classes will be held from 9-10 a.m.
Each student needs to bring a racket and should wear comfortable clothes and athletic shoes. The cost is $54 for the six-week session for those who sign up by July 21, with a $6 late fee added for those who sign up from July 22-28. There can be a maximum of 10 students per class.
