Monday, October 23 through Sunday, October 29 is SHOP FOR SCHOOLS week at five stores in Lewes: Blooming Boutique, Blooming Accessories, Lewes Gifts, Lewes Wear, and Treasures. During this week, schools in the Cape Henlopen School District have the opportunity to raise money for their school. Participating schools will receive a donation of 10% of all purchases made by friends and family during this week. The school with the largest accumulated purchase value will also receive another 10% as a matching donation from the stores’ owner, Micha Seto.
During shop-for-schools week, participants will shop at any or all of the above stores. Their purchases will be added to the tally for the one school that they specify at the register. At the end of the week, the tallies from all the stores will be accumulated. Each school will receive checks for 10% of the purchases in their tally, and the school with the highest sales total will receive a check for an additional 10%.
To date, Shields Elementary, Milton Elementary, Rehoboth Elementary, and Beacon Middle School have confirmed their participation. If your school isn’t on this list, ask your PTO to contact Blooming Boutique at (302)644-4052 and accept their invitation.
