Understanding Annuities Workshop this Thursday at Georgeotwn Public Library

A free class is being offered to the public this Thursday, June28th from 5:00 pm - 6:00 pm at Georgetown Public Library. The class focuses on helping individuals better understand annuity contracts. This course is a detailed retirement seminar designed to educate individuals who are near retirement or recently retired on one of the most complex investments offered to investors. The sponsor, Delaware Money School, is delighted to be able to provide free of charge, experienced and well qualified instructor and Certified Financial Planner Robert Jeter, CFP, CRPC to the public. Having written, spoken and taught on the subject many times, he will break down what is for investors a complex subject, to simple understandable layman’s terms. This class focuses on breaking down a complex product in order to help you gain an understanding of what annuities are, how they work, and if and when they may be suitable for an investor. Robert Jeter, CFP, CRPC is a Financial Advisor offering Securities and Advisory services through Cetera Advisors, LLC member FINRA, SIPC.

The Money School, the "signature program" of the Delaware Financial Literacy Institute, provides more than 650 free financial and business start-up classes and events across the state each year.  Class topics range from simple budgeting and saving to investing and retirement planning- and everything in between! Hassle-free, sales-free classes are taught by volunteers from the non-profit, financial, and government sectors.
