Why We Live Here . . . Funland ! ! !

The kids love to visit Grandma and Grandpa at their home at the beach!  Sussex County is not only known for its low property taxes, it is just a short drive or a ferry ride from several major cities and many retire here to be closer to their children and grandchildren.

One favorite adventure for families is the little amusement park on the boardwalk in Rehoboth Beach called Funland.  Once entitled the Sports Center, Funland was purchased by a wonderful family who owned and operated a municipal park at Willow Mill Park in Pennsylvania.  The sale of the Sports Center almost failed due to the devastating storm of 1962.  However, all parties were able to negotiate a deal and Funland started to become what it is today: inexpensive family fun, games, rides and more!

Funland has also been a right of passage for all young teens in the area.  If you are looking for your first summer job or one to work every summer for years, Funland is one of the best companies/families with whom to work.  Employees enjoy perks such as riding the rides for free, if off-duty and space allowed, gaining new friends and a strong sense of work ethic instilled by this family owned and operated business.

For more information regarding hours of operation, ticket pricing (by the way, the tickets never expire!), rides and attractions, visit Funland’s website today and start your own family memories at the beach! (Source: Funland)
