Why We Live Here . . . Milton, Delaware

Sussex Countains are very proud of our local businesses.  One such example is the Dogfish Head Brewery that started and still operates in Rehoboth Beach and expanded to Milton, Delaware and across the country.  This now well-known, family run company has almost single handedly put our little section of the county on the map.

Visitors and residents can stroll the historic town of Milton on tree lined streets to view the Broadkill River, enjoy a stroll in the park with free summer concerts and take a short walk to the Dogfish Head Brewery on Chesapeake Street.  Dogfish Head has been featured on Discovery Channel’s Brew Masters, sponsors the Extreme Beer Fest in Boston, Massachusetts and is the recipient of the 2017 James Beard Award as the country's most Outstanding Wine, Beer, or Spirits Professional.

The brewery in Milton has a free tour of the brewery and distillery seven days a week that includes tastings at the end of the expedition.  Newly added this year, Dogfish Head has built Chesapeake and Maine next to the original location on Rehoboth Avenue.  Check out all of the locations for an off-centered good time!

It is our second nature." Dogfish.com
