Hot, sunny days on the busy beaches; the family nearby is having fun feeding the seagulls their leftover French fries. If the summer excitement is not your speed, you may enjoy the off-season more.

Lewes, Rehoboth, Dewey and Bethany Beach do not close after the summer season; instead, they slow down a bit and provide ample space and time for families to explore the towns when they are less crowded. While the water temperatures begin to drop, the air temperatures are still warm and only require a light jacket. Sometimes folks in the area get to enjoy warm temperatures all the way to the end of the year.
Many stores and restaurants remain open in the off-season and offer specials to attract the locals. Parking is free throughout the area so there is hardly ever an excuse not to drive into town. Vacation Rental prices drop drastically after Labor Day and events continue in town. It is a wonderful time of year to explore and enjoy!
