‘Colossal’ to open at Cinema Art Theater May 19

May 17, 2017

The Rehoboth Beach Film Society's Cinema Art Theater will present “Colossal,” an action drama with cunningly presented humor, starting at 4 p.m., Friday, May 19.

Gloria (Anne Hathaway) is an out-of-work party girl who, after getting kicked out of her apartment by her boyfriend, is forced to leave her life in New York and move back to her hometown. When news reports surface that a giant creature is destroying Seoul, South Korea, Gloria gradually comes to the realization that she is somehow connected to this far-off phenomenon. As events begin to spin out of control, Gloria must determine why her seemingly insignificant existence has such a colossal effect on the fate of the world.

“Colossal” also stars Jason Sudeikis, Dan Stevens, Austin Stowell and Tim Blake Nelson with performances that ensure audience members will have a good time watching this film.

Additional screenings will be at 7 p.m., Saturday, May 20 and Sunday, May 21; 4 p.m., Wednesday, May 24; and 4 and 7 p.m., Thursday May 25. Tickets can be purchased at the Cinema Art Theater starting 30 minutes prior to each screening. Admission is $8 for film society members and $10 for nonmembers.

All screenings are held at the Cinema Art Theater, 17701 Dartmouth Drive in Dartmouth Plaza, behind the Lewes Wawa. For more information, go to www.rehobothfilm.com or call 302-645-9095.
