Milford boutique collecting letters to send to Santa through Dec. 10

December 1, 2016

As families prepare for the holidays, Sugar Bee in Milford, a sweet boutique featuring fine candies, raw honey and gourmet chocolates, offers a direct line to Santa himself. Inside the downtown Milford location at 40 N. Walnut St., Sugar Bee has placed a North Pole Mailbox. Kids can drop off their letters to Santa during Sugar Bee's hours of operation to ensure they let Santa know how good they have been this year and what items are on their wish list.

"We are excited to share the nostalgic feeling of the holidays with local families," said Sugar Bee co-owner Sherry Shupe. "Our boutique is committed to creating an experience where people remember what it feels like to be a kid again, and we want to make sure the kids of our community have the same opportunity to have fun and enjoy the holidays during their childhood."

Letters to Santa can be dropped off from 12 to 6 p.m., Tuesday to Friday, and 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., Saturdays. Kids of all ages can send letters to Santa from the official North Pole Mailbox. All letters with a self-addressed, stamped envelope that have been mailed before Saturday, Dec. 10, will receive a reply from Santa's workshop.

"We are very thankful for the support of our community partners of all ages," said Shupe. "We are looking forward to working with community volunteers and students as they help enrich the Christmas experience for kids in this community."

Volunteers are needed to help organize and reply to letters picked up from the North Pole Mailbox. Individuals interested can contact Sherry and Peggy at Sugar Bee Boutique by email at queenbee@thesugarbeeboutique.com.
