‘Cinderella’ to open family performance series June 27

June 9, 2018

The Rehoboth Summer Children's Theatre will open the 2018 season with a performance of "Cinderella" at 7 p.m., Wednesday, June 27, at Epworth United Methodist Church in Rehoboth Beach.

Since 1982, the company has specialized in cleverly staged, fun-filled versions of classic stories. Two actors play all the characters in this delightful production developed by company founders Elise and Steve Seyfried. The familiar tale of royalty, romance and fabulous footwear comes to life with fast-paced action, lightning-quick costume changes and a lively sense of humor.

"Cinderella" will rotate throughout the summer with two other sparkling shows designed for family audiences, "Aladdin" and "Androcles and the Lion." Creating all the characters in all the shows are two multitalented actors, Olivia Damore and Theo Wampler. Audiences of all ages will be amazed by the versatility and energy of these two as they tap into their wealth of professional experience.

Epworth UMC is at 19285 Holland Glade Road, north of Rehoboth Beach. There is plenty of free parking. Tickets are $10; children under 3 are admitted free. For more information or to purchase tickets, go to or call 302-227-6766. Shows run through Thursday, Aug. 23.

In addition to the shows at the church, "Cinderella" will be on the road for two special free performances. Audiences can enjoy "Cinderella" at 6:30 p.m., Thursday, July 26, at Lewes Canalfront Park, and at 10 a.m., Saturday, July 28, at the Freeman Stage in Selbyville.
