‘Learning to Drive’ comedy film set Feb. 28

February 24, 2017

As part of Comedy Tuesdays, the Rehoboth Beach Film Society will present “Learning to Drive” at 2 p.m., Tuesday, Feb. 28, at the Cinema Art Theater, 17701 Dartmouth Drive No. 2, Dartmouth Plaza behind the Lewes Wawa.

Patricia Clarkson and Ben Kingsley star in this feel-good, coming-of-(middle)-age comedy about a mismatched pair who help each other embrace happiness and overcome life's obstacles. Wendy is a self-absorbed book critic whose husband has just left her for a younger woman. Darwan is a soft-spoken taxi driver from India on the verge of an arranged marriage. As Wendy sets out to reclaim her independence, she runs into a barrier common to many New Yorkers - she's never learned to drive. Determined to visit her daughter upstate, she hires Darwan to teach her. The two strike up a friendship, and as he shows her how to take control of the wheel, she coaches him on how to adjust to life after marriage. Soon their unlikely friendship awakens them to the joy, humor, and love in starting life anew.

Admission is $8. To purchase tickets, go to www.rehobothfilm.com or call 302-645-9095, Ext.1. Tickets are nonrefundable. Any available tickets will be sold at the door.
