April 27, 2017

Starting Friday, April 28, the Rehoboth Beach Film Society's Cinema Art Theater will present "Truman," a moving but humorous drama with two magnificent actors. Screening times are 4 and 7 p.m., Friday and Saturday, April 28 and 29; 4 p.m., Sunday, April 30; and 4 and 7 p.m., Wednesday and Thursday, May 3 and 4. Tickets can be purchased at the Cinema Art Theater starting 30 minutes prior to each screening. Admission for a screening is $8 for RBFS members and $10 for nonmembers.

"Truman" explores the intimacy and tenderness of a lifelong friendship headed toward its imminent end in this heartfelt and surprisingly humorous film. Diagnosed with terminal cancer, Julián (Ricardo Darin) has decided to forgo treatment, and spend his final days tying up loose ends. When childhood friend Tomás (Javier Cámara) pays his ailing friend an unexpected visit, he quickly realizes he won't be able to change Julián’s mind. In what will be their final reunion, the two friends set out to finalize Julián's funeral arrangements, settle his accounts and, most importantly, find a home for his beloved dog, Truman.

All screenings are held at the Cinema Art Theater, 17701 Dartmouth Drive in Dartmouth Plaza, behind the Lewes Wawa. For more information, go to www.rehobothfilm.com or call 302-645-9095.
