AARP hears about chiropractic care for animals, sets meeting Oct. 25

October 9, 2017

Dr. Christopher Baldt spoke about animal chiropractic care to members of AARP Chapter 4903 at their September meeting. They were delighted to be shown the great similarities in skeletal structure of humans and fellow mammals such as horses and dogs. Baldt told entertaining stories of chiropractic care for professional race horses and pet dogs.

Few in the luncheon audience knew that animal chiropractic has history dating back to around 1899. Baldt has been in private practice since 1988. He treats humans, horses and household pets in his practice. He volunteers at animal and horse rescue centers plus teaching other health professionals equine and canine chiropractic therapy. Baldt's wife Jan is trained in animal acupressure and pain point release therapy, and she works with Baldt in treatment of horses.

The next chapter luncheon will feature Sussex Pharmacy Manager Paul Danielrag at noon, Wednesday, Oct. 25, at American Legion Post 28, Millsboro. Reservations are required before 5 p.m., Tuesday, Oct. 17. Cost is $14 for members, $15 for nonmembers. For more information and reservations call Norma at 302-945-4895 or Mari at 302-684-8485.
