AARP hears from Beebe representatives
The Long Neck AARP Chapter 4903 luncheon Feb. 28 featured speakers Deb Dobies, Beebe Healthcare medical nutritionist, and David Szumski, gift planning officer from Beebe Medical Foundation. Together they provided excellent nutritional advice including great handouts, and a historical view of how Beebe Hospital grew from the original three-bed unit with the support of individual donations throughout the years.
Delaware State Police Cpl. Rickey Hargis will speak at the next luncheon at 11:30 a.m., Wednesday, March 28, at American Legion Post 28 on John J. Williams Highway. Hargis will discuss local crime and how people can protect themselves. The luncheon and presentation are $14 for chapter members, $15 for nonmembers.
