Active Adults Realty celebrates fifth anniversary, announces top producing agents

January 13, 2017

Active Adults Realty is celebrating five years as a Delaware real estate brokerage. Broker Kathy Sperl-Bell and Associate Broker Bill Bell are proud to acknowledge this year's winners of Shining Star Awards, which recognize exceptional work in real estate and client service provided by members of the Active Adults Realty Team.

"We feel it is very important to recognize our agents/Realtors for their achievements in the local real estate market," says Sperl-Bell. "2016 was an excellent year for real estate and for Active Adults Realty. We opened our doors on Dec. 9, 2011, with three licensed agents, and in our first full year, 2012, we generated $9.8 million in sales with four agents/Realtors. Today, we are a brokerage with 11 agents/Realtors who closed more than $55M in sales. Helping to make our growth and success possible is our Office Manager Judy Robinson. Since our first day in business, Judy has been a tremendous asset to our company. An optimistic, caring professional with a heavy background in local real estate and office administration, we proudly acknowledge her outstanding service to the Active Adults Realty Team this year."

The agent responsible for the Highest Overall Dollar Volume for 2016 was Al Willis with over $10M in gross real estate sales. Willis is client-centered, ethical, organized and focused on assisting his clients find homes in Delaware, and it shows.

Willis is also the agent with the Top Overall Volume for the last quarter of 2016. He was also responsible for the Most Closed Listings during the last quarter of 2016. Willis has been a consistent top producer from the start, even though he was totally new to the real estate industry when he joined Active Adults Realty in 2013. He enjoys sharing the satisfaction he and his wife enjoy in their Delaware retirement choice with other baby boomers considering Delaware as a relocation destination.

Elliot Welan led the fourth quarter with the Most Closed Sales Volume. Welan excels at buyer representation, and 100 percent of his sales this quarter resulted from working with buyers. Most of his clients were new to Delaware, just like he was when he relocated to Delaware and joined Active Adults Realty only years ago. He is experienced in both existing home sales and new home sales, having worked with new home buyers in Virginia and Delaware. He knows the area's new home builders and is familiar with their models and the quality of homes they build.

Debbie Shearer garnered the Most Listings in 2016. She joined Active Adults Realty in February 2012 and has become one of the best listing agents in the state. Shearer excels at working with her sellers. She earned her Seniors Real Estate Specialist designation in 2014 and enjoys counseling buyers and sellers aged 50 and older. She is also a Certified Military Residential Specialist.

For Most Total Transactions in 2016, Debbie Shearer and Alfred Willis tied with 28 total transactions each.

Jeannie Mack was recognized for Highest Conversion Ratio in 2016. One of the most important measurements in today's real estate business is the conversion ratio. In today's fast-paced internet-savvy world, an agent must be able to establish rapport with prospects immediately over the phone or via email and text communications. Converting an internet lead into a client and then into a sale is critical to success as a Realtor. Mack sets high goals every year and works hard to accomplish them. She joined the team in January 2015 with over 10 years of experience as a Realtor and as a new home sales consultant, both so important to her success this year and in future years at Active Adults Realty.

Bob Greason was recognized as 2016's Rising Star. Greason came to Active Adults Realty in October 2015. He loves real estate and golf, and his enthusiasm is contagious. Since joining the team, Greason has demonstrated that he is willing to utilize his outstanding interpersonal skills, providing his boomer buyers very personalized real estate service.

Mike Malone is 2016 Rookie of the Year. When Malone joined the team in May 2016, he had just earned his Delaware real estate license. One would never guess that today. His genuine joy shows when he's helping his clients. He does his homework and takes advantage of every opportunity that comes his way. And as a member of the team, Malone's extensive experience in the construction industry and in golf course management benefits those clients especially interested in new construction in Delaware.

"Exclusively focused on 55+ home buyers, it is our business to work with baby boomers retiring to coastal Delaware," says Sperl-Bell. "If you are thinking of relocating, visit our website to find homes for sale, 55+ communities, all-ages neighborhoods and new home construction. It's easy to set up a personalized search, find relocation services, keep up on trends, get market updates or contact a member of the team at www.ActiveAdultsRealty.com."
