Alan G. Boltz, veterans home resident
Alan G. Boltz passed away peacefully surrounded by his daughters Monday, Jan. 16, 2017, at the Delaware Veterans Home where he had resided for the last year and a half.
He was pre-deceased by his wife of 65 years, Janet; his parents, Herbert and Desdemona Boltz; and two sisters, Betty Delaney and Margaret Overby.
Mr. Boltz is survived by his sister, Janet Foss of Ossian, Ind.; and four daughters, Anita (Ronnie) Joseph, Cheryl Kover, Judy Hitchens of Milford and Nancy (Edward) Lee of Sanford, N.C. He is also survived by five grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
A celebration of Mr. Boltz's life will be held Saturday, Jan. 28, at noon,in the chapel of Berry-Short Funeral Home, 119 NW Front St., Milford, where friends may call after 11 a.m. Interment will be private.
The family wishes to thank the Delaware Veterans Home, all of his caregivers in the Red Wing and the many staff members that showed so much kindness and compassion to our father during his stay.
