All 15 agents at Active Adults Realty become Seniors Real Estate Specialists

March 16, 2018

Kathy Sperl-Bell, broker/owner of Active Adults Realty, is proud to announce that all 15 agents have now earned the nationally recognized Seniors Real Estate Specialist designation from the Seniors Real Estate Specialist Council of the National Association of Realtors.

“I am so proud of this great group of agents. They provide the highest quality of service to their clients, and they work so well together. Congratulations to all of you for taking two full days out of your already busy schedule to obtain this important education and designation.” said Sperl-Bell.

Sperl-Bell earned her SRES in 2004 and served on the advisory committee for two years prior to its adoption by NAR in 2007. Agent Debbie Shearer earned her SRES in 2014 and, in March 2018, the remaining 14 agents attended the two-day designation class at Active Adults Realty headquarters in Lewes,

With the assistance of the Delaware Association of Realtors and the staff of the Seniors Real Estate Specialist Council, Active Adults Realty brought instructor Linda Kody, broker, SRES, from North Andover, Mass., to teach this course.

Active Adults Realty is now a 100 percent SRES brokerage. “With our clientele of baby boomers and recent retirees, many relocating to Delaware from surrounding states and the Northeast, our team knew it was important to receive this valuable training,” said Sperl-Bell. “Our team joins more than 15,000 real estate professionals in North America who have earned the SRES designation. All were required to successfully complete a comprehensive course in understanding the needs, considerations, and goals of real estate buyers and sellers aged 55 and older. Working with baby boomers to meet their future housing needs requires an expert understanding of their lifestyle and financial needs, and the SRES designation means that a Realtor has that understanding. Whether you are buying, selling, relocating or refinancing, you can be confident that a Realtor designated SRES will be able to help you every step of the way.”

The National Association of Realtors is America’s largest trade association, representing more than 1.1 million members involved in all aspects of the residential and commercial real estate industries.
