Allan Joseph Richmond, paint inspector

Allan Joseph Richmond, 81, of Millsboro, passed away at Beebe Healthcare in Lewes, Friday, Jan. 13, 2017.

Allan was born in Becket, Mass., Sept. 19, 1935, to the late Allan J. and Leona C. Thompson Richmond. He married Shirley Marwine Dec. 23, 1954, and together they raised four children. He became a paint inspector for, and retired from General Motors after serving in the US Air Force.

He is survived by his wife, Shirley Richmond of Millsboro; and two sons: Michael Richmond and his wife Lynn, of Newark, and Robert Richmond of Tennessee. Also surviving him are his three grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he was preceded by two sons: Larry Richmond and Allan Richmond Jr.

Arrangements are private. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions to Beebe Healthcare, 424 Savannah Road, Lewes, DE 19958. Arrangements by Watson Funeral Services, Millsboro.
