The American Legion Auxiliary Unit 28 held a junior meeting July 30 to present awards won at the recent department convention in Dover. They also honored local law enforcers by presenting them with hero bags and making hero cards to be sent to deployed military in Iraq and Afghanistan. It was not all work, as they included some fun with the stocking/tennis ball game and line dancing.
Also on hand were members from the Delaware State Police Troop 4 Explorers. Awards were presented to Kiera Supplee for her award-winning essay and to the unit's juniors for their overall best program.
