Ann M. Johnson, devoted to family

Ann M. Johnson, 84, of Millsboro, formerly of Langhorne, Pa., passed away Saturday, Oct. 22, 2016, surrounded by her loving family at Beebe Healthcare in Lewes.

Ann was born in Philadelphia, Pa., Oct. 9, 1932, daughter of the late Frederick and Mary Ellen (Riddle) Baker. She retired from Nabisco/Kraft in 1994 after 28 years of service.

Ann was devoted to her family and enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren. She also enjoyed taking photographs, working in her flower beds, and watching and feeding the birds around her house. She will be remembered as a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her son, Stephen Joseph Johnson in 1980; her six siblings; and her companion of 40 years, James M. Russell earlier this month. She is survived by seven children, Nancy (Gary) Petitt of Townsend, Millard Johnson, Linda Dando, Lloyd (Donna) Johnson all of Feasterville, Pa., Kathy (Lee) Congdon of Jamison, Pa., John (Anne) Johnson of Columbus, Ohio, and Tim (Barbara) Johnson of Bensalem, Pa. She is also survived by 19 grandchildren; five great grandchildren; and beloved canine friend Jenny.

A visitation will be held from 3 to 4 p.m., Tuesday, Oct. 25, at the Long Neck Chapel of Melson Funeral Services, 32013 Long Neck Road, Millsboro, where a prayer service will be held at 4 p.m. Interment will be held at Resurrection Cemetery in Bensalem.
