Annie Margaret Irvin, known as Queen Bee

Annie (Anna) Margaret Mary Lee Irvin (Irving), 72, of Frankford, passed away peacefully Monday, July 17, 2017, at the Delaware Hospice Center Milford, surrounded by her family.
Annie was born in Milford, the daughter of the late William Irvin and Dilly (Mamie) Bradshaw Irvin. Annie was raised by Annie Rolland and Isadora Cabell. She was the middle child of eight siblings. Annie (Anna), affectionately known as Queen Bee, received her education at William Comprehensive Jason High School. She was employed by Connor's Management for 30 years before retiring. Annie’s loving companion of 38 years, Michael Chandler, stood by her side until she closed her eyes in death.

She made a conscious decision to give her life to Christ July 12 at Beebe Healthcare in Lewes. Before then she enjoyed spending her free time at the casino, and her pastime was throwing parties, cooking for her family, and watching Gunsmoke and Andy Griffith.

Some of her favorite sayings or quotes were "The Man is on me for something, But I have nothing, and God got me!"

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her adopted mother Annie Rolland; adopted sister Isadora Cabell; Robert Roundtree, Anthony L. Irvin, Catharine Curtis and  Norman L. Curtis.

She leaves to cherish her loving companion of 38 years Michael Chandler; her children James Preston Irving Sr. (Candy) of Seaford, Robin Irving of Frankford, Anthony L. Irvin of Frankford, Renaldo (Sharon) Williams of Frankford, Swindell Williams of Frankford, Curtis Williams of Frankford and Alberta Irving of Harrington; 18 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; a host of nieces and nephews and close friends.

Celebration of life service will be held at 2 p.m., Monday July 24, at Calvary Pentecostal Church, 13325 Worcester Hwy, Bishopville, Md. Family and friends may visit or call two hours prior to services.
