Annual Garden Gala for Veterans at McCann Manor slated for Sept. 24
Hank and Bonnie McCann will host the Second Annual Friends Garden Gala Fundraiser at McCann Manor, 3442 Canterbury Road, Milford, from 6 to 8 p.m., Saturday, Sept. 24. The event will benefit the Delaware Veterans Trust Fund. Tickets are $40 and include food and beverages. Call 697-8384 for tickets.
The event is coordinated by the Friends of Delaware Veterans Inc., the official fundraising organization of the Veterans Trust Fund, which was signed into law in September 2013. The trust fund provides emergency assistance to honorably discharged veterans who reside in Delaware. Hank McCann is a board member of the Friends, a 501c3 organization run by volunteer community leaders from across the state. Food and drink are being donated so 100 percent of the proceeds will benefit Delaware veterans in need.
