Anthony E. Ciuba, devout church member

Anthony E. Ciuba, 85, of Lewes, passed away Saturday, Oct. 7, 2017, at the Delaware Hospice Center in Milford. He was born Oct. 21, 1931, in Elizabeth, N.J., son of the late Anthony W. Ciuba and Mildred D. Zendarsky Ciuba.

Mr. Ciuba and his wife of 62 years, Elizabeth M. (Heller) Ciuba, moved to the Lewes area from Rockville, Md., following a 37-year career with the General Electric Corporation, where he retired as a facilities planner.

.Mr. Ciuba proudly served in the U.S Marine Corps during the Korean War. He was a devout Christian and member of St. Jude the Apostle Catholic Church in Lewes where he was project manager for the new Parish Life Center, church offices and Religious Education building.

In addition to his wife he will be remembered as a loving father, grandfather, great-grandfather and brother.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Thursday, Oct. 12, at 11 a.m., at St. Jude the Apostle Catholic Church, 152 Tulip Drive, Lewes, where friends may visit at the church beginning at 10 a.m. Burial with military honors will be private at the Delaware Veterans Cemetery, Millsboro.
