VIA appreciates fashion show support

May 15, 2018

The Village Improvement Association would like to thank our guests and participants who made our April in Paris Fashion Show a success. The Cape Gazette article in the Friday, April 27 edition showed highlights from the event. The sponsors at the Haute Couture Level of giving included Abbott’s Grill-Milford; Beach Waves Family Salon, Lewes; Dover Tents and Events, Dover; and Nassau Valley Vineyards, Lewes.

The Atelier Sponsors included Deanna and Piccolino, Lewes; Funky Lady, Rehoboth; and Water Lili, Bethany. Many local merchants, individuals and members contributed items for our silent auction, baskets of cheer and ticket auctions.

The following stores provided fashions for the show: Aqua Marine at 114, Coolspring Cottage, Crazy Ladyz, Heidi Lowe Gallery, Something Comfortable, Treasure Island Fashions, and Twila Farrell. Four students from the Cape Henlopen High School Clothing and Textiles class designed and created their individual fashions that showed they have a promising future in the industry. Springlike weather set the tone for a review of stunning fashions modeled by our VIA members. In a festive atmosphere, the sellout crowd had a wonderful time.

Thank you,

Theda Blackwelder and Roxanne Nelson
co-chairwomen, Village Improvement Association
