December 13, 2016

Sussex County Council has voted unanimously to approve a controversial and long-discussed zoning change allowing Gills Neck Village Center, a shopping center of no more than 75,000 square feet, to be built on an 11.6 acre site on Kings Highway in Lewes. Council approved a change in zone from agricultural-residential, AR-1, to neighborhood business, B-1, allowing the project to move forward.

Council also approved a conditional-use application for the Arbor-Lyn subdivision on Warrington Road, with a total of 142 units or four units per acre.
