Author Laura Schroff speaks at Worcester Prep

October 13, 2017

Laura Schroff, international, bestselling author of the book, “An Invisible Thread,” was guest speaker for Worcester Prep Upper School students and teachers Sept. 28. As part of their summer reading requirements, students in ninth through 12th grades read the inspiring book about the power of small acts of kindness and mentorship. “An Invisible Thread” has been on the New York Times Best Sellers list for 39 weeks.

Schroff's cousin, Michele Procino-Wells of Seaford, is a parent of three Worcester Prep students, senior Josh Bredbenner, fifth-grader Will Wells and third-grader Jack Wells. The idea to invite Schroff to the school stemmed from an act of kindness when Bredbenner gave his English teacher, Kathleen Otway, a copy of the book, “An Invisible Thread.” Arrangements for Schroff’s appearance were made through Simon and Schuster Speakers Bureau, New York.
