Award winners art exhibit to open Oct. 28 at CAMP Rehoboth

Reception set Nov. 11
October 21, 2017

The Biggs Museum of American Art is partnering with CAMP Rehoboth to showcase the Delaware Division of the Arts 2017 Award Winners in Sussex County. The artists’ works have been on display at the Biggs Museum, and in October will travel to CAMP Rehoboth, where the Award Winners Exhibition will be on display from Saturday, Oct. 28 until Tuesday, Nov. 28.

A reception is set for 1 to 3 p.m., Saturday, Nov. 11. Attendees may meet the artists, view the art and enjoy performances by these talented individuals. Refreshments will be served.

Each year, the Delaware Division of the Arts recognizes artists for the high quality of their work. Samples from many are considered, including choreographers, composers, musicians, writers, and folk and visual artists. Awards are given in three categories: Master, Established Professional and Emerging Professional. CAMP Rehoboth is excited to have the opportunity to showcase the talent of the artists who have received this recognition in 2017.

Visual artists whose work will be on display include Master Artist Yolanda Chetwynd, Established Professional Beth Trepper, and many other award winners. Emerging Fellow in Music Daniel Carunchio will perform piano selections at the reception, and there will be readings by winners in literature including Emerging Artists David Yurkovoch and Kathy Maas, and Established Artist Gitu Mahasveta.

CAMP Rehoboth is appreciative of the Biggs Museum for helping to bring this show to its venue, and to the Delaware Division of the Arts for its dedication to cultivating and supporting the arts and enhancing the quality of life for all Delawareans.

CAMP Rehoboth is at 37 Baltimore Ave. in Rehoboth Beach. For more information, go to www.camprehoboth.com.
