The Beachcombers Corvette Club of Southern Delaware held its monthly meeting July 6 at Sussex Pines Country Club. They presented their annual scholarship awards to Scyler Hudson from Indian River High School and Noah Jones from Sussex Technical High School.
Hudson, a 2017 graduate, will attend the University of Delaware in the engineering honors program. Jones, a 2017 grad, will attend Universal Technical Institute in Exton, Pa., in the diesel mechanics program.
The group also recognized Past President Herbert Von Goerres for his years of outstanding service to the club.
