Beatrice Street Hunter, Street’s Bus Service VP

Beatrice Street Hunter, 85, of Millsboro, went home to be with the Lord Tuesday, March 21, 2017, at the Coastal Hospice in Salisbury, Md. Bea was born Dec. 13, 1931, to the late Carlos and Myrtle Street.

She received her education at Warrick 204, Millsboro, Millsboro Seventh Day Adventist School, Pine Forge Institute in Pine Forge, Pa., Oakwood College, Huntsville, Ala., and Business Administration School in Lincoln, Neb. Prior to retiring, she worked for the Medical Examiner's Office in Philadelphia as a pathologist administrative assistant. Bea and her husband returned to Delaware in 1980. She became vice president of Street's Bus Service; and co-owner and secretary for Street-Hunter Rentals, both of Millsboro. She was also a member of the First Millsboro Seventh Day Adventist Church in Millsboro.

Bea was a collector of vintage dolls and stuffed animals. She enjoyed camping and travelling, and shopping and spending quality time with her husband of 49 years, Wade J. Hunter, who survives her. She is also survived by her god-daughter, Judith Tunnell; and her son-in-law, Linden Tunnell; a special cousin, Evan Norwood of Harbeson; and two sisters-in-law who were loved like sisters: Elizabeth Johnson (Walter) of Fayetteville, N.C., and Albertine Brown (Callis) of Sloatsburg, N.Y.; a special sister-in-law, Ernestine Hunter of Rocky Mount, N.C.; special friends: Cathy Hall of Frankford, Albert Clark of Salisbury, Md., Alana Zacrociemski, Leslie Butler, Sharon Jackson, Cheryl Pritchett, Craig Wright, Jeff Hopkins and Trevor Harmon, all of Millsboro; Meredith Showell of Landsdown, Fla., Denise Vann of Newport News, Va., Earl and Elaine Sessoms of Rocky Mount, N.C.; and several other nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. She will be greatly missed.

A graveside service was held Sunday, March 26, at the First Millsboro Seventh Day Adventist Church Cemetery, Millsboro. Pastor Henry Fordham officiated.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions to the Millsboro Seventh Day Adventist Church.
