Beebe Healthcare and Renovo Solutions receive clinical solution award
Beebe Healthcare is proud to announce its Information Systems team and partner Renovo Solutions were awarded the AAMI Foundation & Institute for Technology in Health Care's Clinical Solution Award.
The award recognizes innovative and creative applications of clinical engineering practices that fundamentally solve problems to improve healthcare delivery. Along with a check for $1,500, the award was presented during the AAMI Annual Conference & Expo held recently in Long Beach, Calif.
Beebe was part of the multidisciplinary team recognized with the award as part of its partnership with Renovo Solutions, a firm based in Irvine, Calif. The team was able to secure medical devices and systems throughout the Beebe Healthcare system to protect the organization from ever-growing cybersecurity threats.
The team, which consists of IT security experts, HTM professionals and leadership staff from Beebe Healthcare and Renovo Solutions, has implemented a process that brings medical device security to the forefront of operational, capital and strategic decisions. This partnership has been used as a model for other hospitals, helping HTM departments better prepare for and address future technology issues.
