Beebe Healthcare recognizes Ruth Conquest

Receives June L.O.V.E. Letter Award
July 8, 2017

Beebe Healthcare recognized Ruth Conquest, patient activity attendant, as the June Living Our Values Every Day (L.O.V.E.) Letter Award recipient. Last year, a task force of Beebe Healthcare team members met over multiple months to examine exceptional patient experiences and create a system of values followed by every team member when performing at his or her best.

Beebe Healthcare team members have pledged to live these values every day. As patients or visitors at Beebe, community members may see these value statements posted. Beebe invites patients and visitors to help them be mindful of these values as they care for patients and their family members.

Conquest was nominated by Pam Coleman, patient activity attendant at the medical center in Lewes. Coleman noted in her nomination of Conquest how she is able to stay calm and positive throughout the night shifts.

"Ruth was my shining star when I needed it the most," Coleman said. "Ruth has a heart of gold, just filled with love and compassion."

Conquest was recognized for doing what it takes to keep everyone safe, doing it right the first time - every time, treating each individual with respect and dignity, and building trusting relationships with compassion and kindness. She acted with passion and love for others to truly make a difference for her team and, specifically, for Coleman.

Jeffrey Fried, FACHE, president and CEO; Rick Schaffner, RN, executive vice president and chief operating officer; Judy Aliquo, president and CEO, Beebe Medical Foundation; and Jamie Dickerson, RN, patient care nurse manager, made the presentation and congratulated Conquest.

Winners are announced in a surprise ceremony in which the committee visits the winner in his or her department and presents the award. Employees selected for the award receive a parking space in the parking garage for one month; a $100 gift card; 100 points toward Beebe L.O.V.E. Notes Merchandise; a letter of congratulations and personal visit from members of the executive team; their photo added to the L.O.V.E. Letter wall plaque; and a letter to the team member's director and department recognition.
