Bethany Beach says goodbye to summer with jazz funeral

Bethany Beach held its 32nd annual Labor Day Jazz Funeral Sept. 4 along the boardwalk. The funeral lays to rest the Summer of 2017 with a symbolic casket carrying Summer. This annual event has raised funds for various charities over the past years.
This year’s charity was the American Red Cross. The Jazz Funeral was led by Three Dixieland jazz bands, the Dixie Cats, the Downtown Dixieland Band and the Jazz Funeral Irregulars.
